Rotary LED Transmitter for Improving Data Transmission Rate of Image Sensor Communication

This study focuses on image sensor communication (ISC), which is a form of visible light communication, using light-emitting diode (LED) and camera as the transmitting receiving device, respectively. In an ISC system, receiver captures optical signals transmitted by blinking LEDs demodulates data captured image. The system can spatially separate noises in image, thus providing superior anti-interference ability. However, because speed depends shooting camera, suffers from low transmission rate when low-speed used. To improve ISC, we have developed rotary LED transmitter. transmitter cylindrically rotates during exposure time camera. multiple states afterimages single thereby increasing amount received per this paper, propose present experiment for evaluation rate. result indicates that 60 times conventional method.
